Pour a small amount of dark or brown enamel paint into a plastic tray or dish. This makes the use of paint easier. Pour a small amount of light colored stone enamel onto a plastic plate or onto a paint tray. Add a small amount of light enamel to the edge of a paint sponge. Apply the paint to the inside of the stones by gentle tapping. Run the light enamel paint with the sponge by gently rubbing the sponge towards the edge of the stone and over the dark enamel to mix the two colors.
